Production Schedule (MIPS) in sufficient detail to monitor progress, assess
program status, and identify performance issue for the complex, multi-year,
multi-million dollar project aimed at upgrading US Navy Standard Integrated
Personnel System (NSIPS).
· Maintain several project schedules
to monitor progress of the software development life cycle. Ensure that
scope of work, activity sequencing, task duration, resource allocations and
multiple schedule interactions are presented with accuracy. Ensure program
milestones are completed in accordance with the contract requirements.
· Prepare schedules for weekly team
meeting where project leads are presented with work forecast, resource
allocation, and long term planning. Gather updates from project leads on a
weekly basis. Control schedules by monitoring & tracking the status of
projects using MS Project, resource loading, updating progress and managing
changes to the schedule baselines. Formulate and recommend corrective
action measures such as schedule revisions.
· Serve as point of contact between
the customer and project leads. Facilitate weekly meetings with the
customer to update project progress, schedule performance and documentation
status. Provide customer with monthly reports on MIPS progress.
· Support proposal activities in the
development of schedules for upcoming projects and ensure that resources
are available and efficiently allocated. Track the development of software
change and problem requests to ensure timely completion to meet production
release deadlines.
